One from my last climbing trip with Paul to the Alps in 2019.

Exhausted and happy after an eight hour climb with one of the most memorable abseils we could have done.

One of my favourite photos of us together, we had a rest day on our climbing trip and went down the the 'pool' to sit and chat. We had a lovely day of just catching up, I just wish I could remember what I was describing at that precise moment.

From a fantastic trip to Mallorca which Paul organised. I spent a lot of the trip climbing with Paul, including a memorable day climbing followed by an equally memorable evening chatting deep into the night while waiting for other climbers to finish

A lovely summer afternoon in the garden with Paul and Indy. Pure delight.

High summer in North Wales. Heading home, late. Back at the car, 250 miles from home, Paul asked me: "I need to stay awake to drive us home. Please can you talk to me non-stop for five hours?" He always was a good listener.

Indy's first climbing lesson? This was followed up with Paul's videos of Indy climbing on the furniture at home, encouraged by a very proud Dad.

The BCC Christmas competition involved fancy dress, and Paul - trying to stay low-key- arrived dressed as… Paul. Clearly in breach of the rules, he was dressed up from random props and being the great guy he was, wore his new attire all night! (Aj)
