I met Paul in my early-to-mid twenties, and at that time (and possibly still!) I use to talk a lot of rubbish about things I knew very little about. What I loved about Paul, was firstly, that he listened, but secondly and most importantly, he always carefully considered what you said and formulated an intelligent response (he was fiercly bright!). I learnt from Paul to be patient with my words, to take the time to formulate an idea before speaking, and even before he died for many years have said to myself "How would Paul put this". It makes it all the harder to have to use the past tense, but I wanted to share that my interactions with Paul really grew me as a person, and it's something that will stay with me until I die.
